Tryouts for 2017-2018 Season

Black Stars tryout dates for the 2017-2018 Norcal Travel Season are set for June 2-June 6. 

 

Age Classifications for the 2017-2018 Season

MITES (8U)  Birth year - 2009 and later

SQUIRTS (10U)  Birth year - 2007 & 2008

PEEWEE (12U)  Birth year - 2005 & 2006

  BANTAM (14U)  Birth year – 2003 & 2004

HS1  Birth year – 2002 to 2003

HS2  Birth year – 1999 to 2001

All participants must be registered prior to tryouts. All tryout fees must be paid before participants are allowed on the ice. Check-in at least 45 minutes prior to start time.

All tryout fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

In Season Challenge: 10,000 Touches

 

10,000 TOUCHES | PROGRAM OVERVIEW

10,000 TOUCHES | VIDEO PLAYLIST 

10,000 TOUCHES | REGISTRATION (There is no fee, but registration is REQUIRED)

How well do you think your stickhandling would improve if you performed 10,000 Touches of stickhanding over the course of your season?

The OMHA has created a plan suitable for all ages and abilities to follow that can be completed in as little as 8 weeks.

THE GOAL:  Improved puck control skills through quickness of hand speed, quickness, and coordination.

THE PLAN:  Develop stickhandling skills by performing 10,000 touches.

WEEKLY GOAL:  5 Days per week | 75-150 minutes per week

CONTEST DEADLINE:  March 15, 2016
